Frederick Perls (1893-1970)

Perls believed that every object in a dream represents an aspect of the dreamer that is being rejected or disowned. He rejecting the idea that dream imagery was part of a universalsymbolic language but rather unique to the individual who dreams it.Perls believed in understanding dreams in the present tense and to be able to verbalize how each component in your dream felt, He believed in acting out the dream and play different roles and to express how you feel toward each other. The process was to help you acknowledge and realize feelings that you may have overlooked or buried.
